Constant_V 2015-2018 contains an overview of the first 4 years of the project Constant_V. More than twenty projects carried out between 2015 and 2018, by around fifty artists, designers, hackers and collectives.

Constant_V is a series of small-scale installations in the window of the Constant office. These installations are sometimes accompanied by a workshop led by the artist(s) in order to focus not only on the finished product, but also on the process of creation. They give the opportunity to discover the motivations, the techniques or other aspects of a work.

Constant_V uses our front window as a membrane; it showcases artists and projects connected to Constant. Constant_V prefers showing works that are in progress, giving visibility to the conceptual, technical and collaborative work that goes into the creation of an artwork. Constant_V shows works that are made with Free Software and / or distributed under open content licenses. This way Constant_V offers passers by insight in the world of F/LOSS arts.

Constant_V presents digital works of various types ranging from video to interactive works, from graphic design to hacked machines and prototypes.

Constant_V transforme la vitrine de notre bureau en membrane en présentant des artistes et des projets reliés à Constant. Les œuvres montrées sont en préférence en cours de création, ce qui permet de donner de la visibilité au travail conceptuel, technique et collaborative qui se cache derrière le processus créatif. Constant_V présente des œuvres qui sont réalisées avec des logiciels libres et distribuées sous Licence Art Libre. De cette façon Constant_V offre aux passants un aperçu dans le monde de l’art F/LOSS.

Les œuvres numériques présentées sont aussi très différentes; elles vont de la vidéo à des œuvres interactives, de la conception graphique aux machines hackées et aux prototypes.

Constant_V is een reeks kleinschalige installaties in de vitrine van Constant’s kantoor. Deze installaties gaan soms vergezeld van een workshop door de kunstenaar(s) waardoor niet alleen het eindproduct, maar ook het creatieproces centraal komt te staan.

Constant_V gebruikt het raam als een membraan: het toont kunstenaars en projecten die verbonden zijn aan Constant. Constant_V geeft voorkeur aan het tonen van werken in ontwikkeling, en geeft zichtbaarheid aan de conceptuele, technische en collectieve aspecten van het creatieproces. Constant_V toont werk dat gemaakt is met vrije software, en dat wordt gedistribueerd onder een open content licentie. Op deze manier geeft Constant_V voorbijgangers inzage in de wereld van F/LOSS kunst.

Constant_V toont uiteenlopende soorten digitaal werk: van video tot interactief werk, van grafisch ontwerp tot gehackte machines en protoypes.

How to Cypher Sex: A Manual for Collective Digital Self-Defense Guides lays out strategies on how to write locally-oriented digital self-defense guides aimed at empowering LGBTQ* people, women, and sex workers. Constant supported the collective Cypher Sex in the making of this "how to" manual. The manual is intended to help the writing of localised guides with basic outlines, resources, links, suggested approaches and interview questions relevant to different international locations that advocate self-empowerment through online identity management and other digital self-defence strategies. 

Cypher Sex is a queer feminist collective aimed at empowering LGBTQ* people, women, and sex workers in their use of online services and digital tools through workshops, guides, and personalized consultancies.

How to Cypher Sex: A Manual for Collective Digital Self-Defense Guides propose des stratégies pour rédiger des guides d’autodéfense numériques à vocation locale visant à empouvoirer les personnes LGBTQ*, des femmes et des travailleur·euse·s du sexe. Constant a soutenu le collectif Cypher Sex dans la réalisation de ce manuel. Le manuel a pour but d’aider à la rédaction de guides localisés avec des schémas de base, des ressources, des liens, des approches suggérées et des questions d’interview pertinentes pour différents lieux internationaux qui prônent l’autonomisation par la gestion de l’identité en ligne et d’autres stratégies d’autodéfense numérique. 

Cypher Sex est un collectif féministe queer dont l’objectif est d’aider les personnes LGBTQ*, les femmes et les travailleur·euse·s du sexe à utiliser les services en ligne et les outils numériques par le biais d’ateliers, de guides et de services de conseil personnalisés.

How to Cypher Sex: A Manual for Collective Digital Self-Defense Guides  legt uit strategieën voor het schrijven van lokaal georiënteerde digitale zelfverdedigingsgidsen gericht op het ondersteunen van LGBTQ* mensen, vrouwen en sekswerkers. Constant steunde het collectief Cypher Sex bij het maken van deze "how to" handleiding. De handleiding is bedoeld om te helpen bij het schrijven van gelokaliseerde gidsen met basisoverzichten, bronnen, links, voorgestelde benaderingen en interviewvragen die relevant zijn voor verschillende internationale locaties die pleiten voor zelfversterking door online identiteitsbeheer en andere digitale zelfverdedigingsstrategieën. 

Cypher Sex is een queer feministisch collectief dat zich richt op het versterken van LGBTQ*-personen, vrouwen en sekswerkers in hun gebruik van online diensten en digitale hulpmiddelen door middel van workshops, gidsen en persoonlijke consultancies.
